I’ve been fighting the blues this morning…just those “grummy mommy didn’t get enough sleep blues”…it’s been a “I need to find a corner and put myself in time-out day”…so I am deciding to fight blue with blue. With names like windflower wind, azure afternoon, gentle breezes, and Celestial…how can you not feel better? So here’s to a little paint swatch therapy to give me that aerial view to put things back where they need to be…

We were so blessed to have a sweet party for our little girls. Mia and Ella celebrate their birthdays within the same 2 week period, so we decided to throw a joint party. I am thinking we may call this Ava’s party as well, as she recieved just as many gifts and had just as much fun! (thanks everyone for being so sensitive and thoughtful of her)…
A sweet Strawberry Shortcake theme ordered up by my now 4 year old. (That is killing me…4 years already…)

I can’t believe this one will be 3 in May…oh, the time is flying…(the girls scored on cute jewelry from aunt debbie & gma Jeri)
We catered El Pollo Loco chicken dinner (it is Ella’s favorite) and enjoyed homemade salsa and all things dipped in chocolate. It was like Christmas all over again and the girls loved every second of their day spent with family.
We love their sweet knitted hats Auntie Melissa…
…and their new little bowling alley was a hit Lori!
ella’s princess dress-up chest was my personal favorite…daddy snapped a couple pics of her all done up…
but the Pinata always wins the prize (it was raining…so indoors is a little scary, but fun)…

my girls are not sleepers…they do not normally nap…AND this usually never ever happens…BUT today…
what a perfect birthday gift from my sweet little ones…an hour of down time and relaxtion…
now where is that 5D I have been dreaming up…maybe that will be the next festivus miracle to grace my world! I think the sweet nap is enough for now!

These two college kids couldn’t be more adorable…they are high school sweethearts, and are spending their first year of college in seperate states. I can remember, even though it was a long time ago, how it was when I was finishing up Nursing School. I was in Utah and Jase was graduated and working in California. Long distance is hard, so I asked these two if they wouldn’t mind sharing an hour of their time with me while they were both visiting in town this last weekend…(wowzas…it was a busy weekend for me!). They obliged, and I couldn’t help but grin from ear to ear after just hanging out with them for a little bit. They are so genuine and good. I loved to just observe them laugh and enjoy eachother’s company. They are truly great friends and that is so awesome! I think we have so much to learn from those around us…thanks Allie & Neil for reminding me that “love” is about having fun and being with someone who allows you to just be yourself and be happy! You guys are great and very very very cute together…
so here’s something to last ya until you have the chance to be together again…
Allie is my neice…the coolest thing about marrying into Jason’s family is that my sister-in-laws are so wise and awesome. Hi is a bit younger than all his older brothers, so I get to have fun and wonderful sister-in-laws who have already been where I am now. They are so understanding and helpful and in tune with what raising a family is all about…
Plus my neices and nephews are basically (well, most of them) my age and so it is fun to hang out with them too…
