(First of all a HUGE shout out to Gena…you know why…you are amazing and talented and supportive and I appreciate your help and feedback with this endevour…)
A few weeks ago, I came up with the idea of marketing students at Jason’s school for senior portraits. I love the idea of of getting out in fun settings and really bringing out the personality and beauty of these young adults. I have not yet done any actualy marketing for my photography business, and I thought this was a fun way to start. I am extremely sensitive about making sure I keep my role as a Mother of my 3 little girls the biggest priority in my life, but I am excited to share a little of my time this summer with some great people…
So today…(well…it is officially yesterday now), I met up with Stephanie and David for a great 45 minutes. They needed to rush off to an ASB award dinner, so I tried my best to accommodate their busy schedules. They were a breath of fresh air and I am so excited that I get to share my “breaks” from being at home with my darling daughters meeting so many great new people.
He is senior and soon to graduate…
Handsome…athletic…very tall…he runs cross country and plans to continue that in college next year…
He brought along his very very very special girlfriend…

His Mom tells me…”she is like Barbie, but with a brain!”
All I have to say is that…”she is adorable!”…(gorgeous…pretty…nice…sweet…etc.)
she volunteers at school and keeps active in the Associated Student Body…
an older gentleman was walking behind me as I took this shot…I had her sitting in front of an Antique Store…he says…
“She is not an Antique…she is Beautiful…”
I love the smile he inspired…
She kinda likes her boyfriend too…he inspires plenty of smiles I am sure…

Ava’s birthday party finally made it’s way here. She and her sisters have been waiting and talking about it for weeks. Athough Barney is quite the “has been,” I was able to find some festive decorations to fit her theme as well as the mini dino himself found off the one and only Ebay…
The invites made their way to several of her loved ones, and we were so blessed to have so many family members be able to make it! It was such a joy to see you all…
this was by far the best part of the day…the girls (and adults) spent hours in this “happy face” bounce house.
SHE LOVED IT!
everybody who stepped inside was all smiles…
BUT…we did have…
a few tears as heads collided….

I love the change that takes place almost overnight when they turn 3. The toddler seems to disappear and is replaced with a beautiful little girl…

some days are just good. we really don’t do anything special to deserve them…they just happen. we had unexpected playdate with some old friends…ate yummy food…had daddy home early. These are the days that bring back the inevitable balance in life. Good days = Bad days. Actually, the good always overpowers the bad, but the bad just seem to get more attention…but either way, I am thankful for that balance. I am thankful for the hard days too, and how they make me appreciate such a simple day as a good day…one of the best in a while…
we sat and watched the sun set over sweet rice krispy treats and sticky faces…we cherished its sunlight as it kissed us on it’s way down the beautiful evening sky…
We set up an obstacle course, walked the retaining wall…did wind sprints with daddy…and enjoyed the cool night.
we both relaxed…and played…
and giggled while we found interesting ways to turn a flat bouncy ball…
into a memory…
and a reason to smile…
i love all that makes you 3 steal away beauty from the stars in the sky…and give sweetness to every kiss and ounce of love I am blessed to feel on this earth…

On the 14th…our miss Ava turned 3…
The girls and I had a fun-filled day out together…We ate at our favorite bagel shop (Poppyseed for me, Sesame for Ella and Mia, and an Everything for Ava…atta girl!), we rode the train at a Regional Park, they each took a pony ride, we walked through a charming little zoo, spent a little time with Grandma Jeri, ate our hearts out and sang Happy birthday over a brownie at BJ’s, AND spent the day here:
It is so great having a birthday at Disneyland…the birthday girl got to wear this little button and everyone wished her a happy birthday. She thought is was just magical that all these strangers knew it was her birthday. It was awesome. We loved every moment of the day together…
Then we got these sweet little cards from Great Grandma Joyce and Great Grandpa Joe…
They gifted Ava with a beautiful Princess Bike for her Birthday…
AND YES…GRANDMA AND GRANDPA…
The girls are all LOVING riding their bikes together!
