A little this…a little that…

Photobucket

Today I dusted off my little sewing machine and decided to change things up a bit.  I have been feeling a little stale lately, so I thought I would put some creative energy towards some gifts for a baby shower I am going to tonight.  Three beautiful Moms to be…we tried to go to Children’s Place yesterday to find the perfect baby gifts…but with my 3 as shopping partners…it didn’t turn out so well and we ended up leaving the store empty handed!

so, we decided to sew something…Ella was my cutting assistant…

Photobucket

I miss this thing…but I really do not have time for all the hobbies I love…I really don’t have time for any of them…but I love to create…so today I got lucky…

Photobucket

we turned on the blogger playlist…

Photobucket

this one napped to her favorite purple dinosaur singing in the background…

Photobucket

this one proved she is still a baby and assumed the fetal position…

Photobucket

and had fun playing with (and in…and on) the pink kitchen…

Photobucket

ella threaded D rings…

Photobucket

and had a mini photo shoot and the nursing cover for Jessica…

 Photobucket

thanks Alana…for sharing your pattern with me over the phone…they are no where as perfect as yours…but I had fun trying it out…

Photobucket

here’s to nursing in style…thanks girls for letting mommy indulge in a little sewing…I think late nights editing photos while you are all sleeping is much more compatible with 3 little girls…but it was fun to play with these fun fabrics today…

I’m jealous. I wish I knew how to sew! With all your “spare time” you should start a side business and sell those nursing covers! Too cute!

Reading your blog during my leisure time, I somehow feel no stress at all watching you accomplish the impossible…is that what it was like for you while trying to sew with 3 little ones helping out?…ha ha!

Wow Tonya, you never cease to amaze me with the wonderful things you create, and I’m sure I don’t know the half of it.

gorgeous!
what fun getting to play with a little fabric (even with girls in tow!)
honestly, though, i can’t believe that you let her cut (with scissors) that close to that beautiful skirt!
my heart would have been racing!

You are SOOOO brave – to take out the sewing machine WITH the three girlies in tow… I have tried some sewing with my girls (age 7 and 5) but too often lack the patience needed! My latest “project in waiting” are some old jeans – I think there are 6 pair – of the girls’ that have holes in the knees. My plan is to turn them into funky purses! :-) Someday…if and when, I WILL post the results!

I just ADORE your littlest one IN the pink kitchen…TOO cute! :-)

Tonya,
It was so fun visiting with you a couple nights ago at the shower! Your nursing covers were adorable and it still amazes me how talented you are. Sewing, photography, and still managing to stay beautiful and a great mommy. Cheers to you!!

You have some lucky friends!! They will appreciate the nursing covers so much more because they were made from the heart! That’s the best kind of present…and with 3 little helpers! They turned out darling…and the girls are so sweet :)
