i never grow tired of taking my little girls out and capturing their beauty in time…

a few weeks ago I felt inspired to use of a little of the fabric stash I have hanging out in my work room…

and this little girl was all for a photo session…

I am always amazed as I watch them grow. Ella has become my little lady. Conversation with her is enough to fill my heart and break it at the same time. Oh, how she is growing…

The other day we worked side by side painting our dining room wainscoting project…we chatted and I felt such a strong impression of her geniune goodness. She is so thoughtful, able, and smart. I know that she is really thinking about others and their feelings. What a golden quality that is…not to be taken for granted…

I love the one on one time I get with all my girls.

lil miss personality

this beautiful creature has been blessed with a genuinity that takes my breath away! you never need to guess what she is up to, thinking, or feeling…

she is one of a kind…

i adore it…

her latest fashion craze is wearing her little tees inside out and backwards. when we were dressing she insisted that she wanted to wear her shirt like this. I did not even hesitate to oblige…she recognized the sweet little iron on tag with its little flourishes as being very pretty…I wasn’t going to make her hide it on the inside of her shirt…I quite agree ava, it is very stylish. I mean if you can sag your pants and let your underwear hang out…why not wear it your way…my sweet little vava…

I embrace your creativity…

{she is also famous in our house right now for her love of Olives…big black salty Olives. She will eat a whole can if you let her and she will drink the juice after her salty meal!

The other night after eating our brownie sundaes she said…”now I want my Avos (Olives)”}

gotta love a girl who can be herself…

I love ya Ava girl. You are strong, sweet, beautiful, and so much fun!

home again…

this last week on a complete whim…Jason stole me away for a overnight trip to beautiful Pismo beach…we went just the two of us…it was awesome!

we jogged on the beach, walked on the peir, enjoyed the charm of Pismo’s small beach town feel, ate at a very nice restaurant (wow it is something to just sit and eat and not have to run a 3 ring circus while doing that!), watched the olympics, and did a little shopping…it was *deep sigh* lovely…

we pulled of in Los Alamos to hit a few spots I have been dying to snap a few photos of…

But, I have to say…the best part of it all was…

{my friend}

there are few people that come into our lives with whom we will build a binding friendship with that will last a lifetime…

well, my becky (along with all the roomies from S-Hall & Liberty Square…a shout out to meli, sarah, alana, alyssa…love ya girlies!) is one of my very good friends. We met summer of 1997?? I can still picture the halls of the 3rd floor of Deseret S Hall. Those years of my college experience are some of my favorite. Becky was such a big part of that. We shared rooms, trips to the Morris center, a love for ambrosia *wink*, late night talks, broken hearts, clothes, letters from Utah and California to Poland, tears, hugs, and many many good times…the list can go on and on…

Laughing to myself now….I will never forget the time I feel off the top bunk of my dorm room trying to spy on you coming home from homecoming (was that what it was?)…good times and tons of belly laughs for sure…

Now we are both Mothers…sharing new experinces from near and far. She is such a honest and good person and is an incredible mother. I was blessed to meet her girls for the first time this week…

Avery Jane….love that name…Dad calls her “AJ”…

and of course Sophie Jo…she has me wishing red hair was somewhere in my genetics…

her girls are happy, healthy, and so fun…

Becky is a beautiful mother…and is taking on motherhood with grace and apparent ease…I was so jealous when she greeted me at the door…she looks EXACTLY the same…tall, SKINNY, happy and vibrant…
