Tonya,

The picture of your parents is gorgeous! Your Mom is BEAUTIFUL inside and out! She has been in our thoughts and prayers as she faces this trial in her, life head on. She is so courageous and an example of strength to everyone around her! I have so many fond memories of playing at your house and your Mom pretending the van was an airplane as she drove me home! The good ol’ days! Thanks for sharing and reminding us what’s important in life.

Tonya, you add so much enjoyment for so many. What a special photograph. It is so precious and sweet. It speaks of a lifetime of love. I remember your mom as the sweet little blond girl cousin that used to come up here and visit us. Now, she is a mother, a grandmother and life goes on. I can see from being of facebook what a great job she and your dad have done with rearing you children. All of you are awesome! What a loving caring group!

It was several special cousins that came to see us. I was older an thought they were wonderful LITTLE kids, Susan, Sharon and Lori, Gary then Bob. Your mom was especially shy. Precious, soft spoken. All the girls were as pretty as pictures. Susan and Sharon were the little Swedish blonds. Lori, the dark beauty with such loving caring ways. She is so artistic! I miss her. I tried calling her the other day. She wasn’t home. I left a message, but, she didn’t call back. Lori girl, WHERE ARE YOU?

I love your grandpa and grandma. Joe was my uncle/brother. I remember wanting to be around him when he was a teenager. He didn’t want a snotty nosed little kid around when he was playing ball with his friends. (He never said that.) But, I wanted to go with him everywhere. I adored him! I used to stand on my tricycle and watching him play ball with Eddie and Bill. Once I fell and got injured! It was worth it. I got to see Joe play ball! But I was very upset about being upended on a fireman’s lap as he examined my wounded bottom! Funny the things you remember about our growing up!

I am praying for you Susan!

Love, Joy Lee

wow, what a wonderful mother you have (and so youthful in appearance…beautiful). my mother was a strong survivor of cancer. i was always inspired to watch her battle this disease with such grace—such a fabluous example. God bless your mom and your family. you are all in my prayers.
