living by life’s little instructions…

“Feed a stranger’s expired parking meter”:

The streets were buzzing in Balboa, people were dining on the street cafe patios, the sidewalks were busy, music played in the distance, and summer was still in the air.  I made a few circles around the block and found an empty parking spot on the street.  I filled my shootsac with all my favorite goodies, grabbed my camera, and popped a few quarters in my parking meter.  As I headed out to the pier, the meter next to me caught my eye as it flashed ”expired”…so I decided I could spare a few of my supply, and popped a few quarters in for an unknown “friend” (A little good deed never does anyone any harm:)).  I was feeling good and super excited to get to meet up with my friend Erin…

“Make new friends, but cherish the old ones”:

Reintroducing my friend, Erin…you may recognize her from a shoot I did last year.  Erin and I met through our blogs, and she is one of the most passionate, funny, energetic, kind, talented, creative, and giving gals I know…I am always excited for the new friends I make through blogging, and so so so excited for the times I get to actually meet them in “real life”…

 “Marry for love”:

These two obviously have gotten this one down…

…reason 3426 why love reading erin’s blog: she is gone head over heels in love with her man.  it is inspiring.

these two were just meant for each other.  the end.

“Never underestimate the power of love…Count your blessings”:

this is the love…

that, in all its beauty, brings these amazing little crazy energetic beautiful happy…

blessings…

count them…

1. 2. 3.

2 blessed little girls…

Megan…

and Molly…

and one handsome little guy…

that is…wyatt…

oh my heart melts at the sight of cute little sisters…

(i adore the way molly is looking at her mommy here)

“Leave everything a little better than you found it”:

passion. beauty. creativity. charity. faith. honesty.  erin is who she is…no guessing…nothing to explain…she is all of the above…(don’t her kids have a beautiful example to live by:)).  She is super crafty and uber talented.  You know doing things like…oh, sewing an entire wardrobe for her and her girls to wear in the 24 hours before her photo shoot…I am in love with everything she made…good news is…she has an etsy shoppe…head on over:)

I love the history behind our shoot location…this is home to so many family memories…love that I helped make a few more…

”Be there when people need you”:

this image happened on accident…I was getting my exposure set for this new location and Matt and Wyatt were just playing around…I am so glad I caught it…

I am so glad I was there in that moment…

in all of these moments…

(nothing like laying on your belly in the middle of the driveway to a crowded parking lot…)

there is so much joy in your moments together as a family…

“Think big thoughts but relish small pleasures”:

I love to see other woman embracing her talents, dreaming up big things, creating beauty in her home and giving to others…

all while living by the wisdom that these small pleasures…

are the most important of all…

thanks for sharing your fam with me Erin and Matt…

you two are so blessed!

xoxo

Tonya
