what a photo can tell…

I am sitting here sorting through the images that I want to share from this session and I am sure if someone walked into the room they would really want to know what the story is behind the smile that is plastered on my face…

no specific story really….just photos…photos that tell just a small chapter in the ongoing happy ever after story of this amazing little family…and their little heaven here on earth:)

this family that understands how true it is that, in fact, (here’s a news flash)……the things that matter most…really are…very simple…

love, health, the blessing of babies…

we just need to look at life through the eyes of a child every now and then to bring us back to that reality…

…esp the eyes of our children…

eyes bright and pure and so vibrant…eyes full of joy and goodness…

eyes like this little guy…

(i love this kid!)

his eyes…his whole being for that matter…scream JOY…

there is something that struck me with these guys right off the bat…a peace…a confidence…a goodness…the have somethng very special…something that I think many of us forget or get lost trying to find…

…they just seem to have perspective…

priceless…perspective…really, if you have got that, you have everything…

tonight I cuddled with ella while she was falling asleep…we chatted about things and my heart ached a little as she drifted away to sleep…

I was laying in her little bed listening to “the pretty music” she asked me to turn on for her…Chopin played softly from across the room and I ran my fingers through her sweet little tangles that came from a day of play.

Before I let her fall into sleep, I asked her what I do for her that makes her happy…she said something so simple…without a moment of hesitation, her answer was,

spend time with me“…

my heart both felt warm and cold at the same time…

perspective…there in a simple answer from my 5 year old…such clarity…

time…spent together as a family…loving on our babies…creating happy little souls…that is what is most important…those are the things that make us good…and the things we should strive to be good at…

meet the beautiful Marcela…

she has some of the prettiest hair I have ever seen…blog worthy gorgeous curls!:)

Her handsome man…Brian…

and the warrior who fights evil with both lightsabers and happiness…Brendan…

they are all pretty darn cute…

and the love between them is inspiring…

thanks for sharing your family with me…

you are so blessed!

xoxo

T,

As always, these photos are stunning. But the moments of perspective that you mention…you are so right. Thank you for the much needed reminder. It’s so easy to forget the little things. And they really are what matter most.
