it has been a very busy season for both me personally and professionally. My little family continues to grow healthy and busy and I am so blessed to be mommy to all 5 of my beautiful kiddos. I keep my photography up and available, as it is such a true love in my life and rewards me on a personal level so much. I am very grateful for creative opportunities and love the time I get to take a break from the full time work of momma to enjoy my photographic work.
Way back in October, I held one of my Coterie stylized shoots. I adore these types of shoots and for all the wonderful artists I get to work with. I also love working with new people and setting them up as models for the day. I rarely ever work with professional models, but by the looks of the people I know you can’t really tell the difference! It was a pure treat to shoot Jill and Jedd and I was truly inspired by them for the styling of this shoot. This couple was freshly engaged and are so very much in love and I knew I wanted to get them in front of my camera. I found Jill through shooting her gorgeous sister a few years back. When honing a theme i knew it needed to be sexy, strong, bold, and romantic. Just like this couple. Inspired by a fresh fall issue of Vogue magazine I became immediately inspired to construct a dress and style a shoot around the dress I was making. I paired up yards of red dupioni silk, gold accents, and two freshly engaged and insanely in love love birds. Then added in gorgeous light and wonderful photographic medium along with a fun collaboration of some creative professionals and this shoot was born. I called it Dolce…it is to inspire sexy, romantic, classic brides to incorporate passion, beauty, and a little whimsy into their wedding day. I was so blessed to share the talents of Katrina of Kitsch and Nancy of Oak and the Owl and I loved the way the shoot turned out! Wedding paper done by Jill Parkin Designs and lovely cake by Rebecca Williamson. Styling and shoot concept yours truly.
Hope you enjoy!
