This post is Full of Goodies for sure! I am excited to introduce the next TWO stylized events and learning opportunity! A stylized Coterie shoot and a Full Day workshop!

JUNE 8th I will be hosting A beautiful wedding stylized shoot! I am excited to announce my next Sytlized shoot…english garden…

What are these designed for? Inspiration. Portfolio building. Fun. Passion. Experience. Networking. Learning {I do not instruct during the shoot but attendees are able to glean by observation my use of light, equipment, posing, interactions with my subjects, and so forth (mentoring sessions and full day workshops is where I offer more instruction and specific learning topics…please inquire if you would like more information on these)}. You can use these images for your blog/website!

Who are they designed for? Photographers. Artists. Hobbyists. anyone with the love and passion for beautiful photography.

Are they exclusive? No, but shoot size will be kept to 10 or fewer so that attendees can really have a true opportunity to enjoy the shoot and subjects.

i have been dreaming of this theme for a workshop for a while

…a melange of fashionable touches of romance and whimsy all inspired by the style of the great gatsby!

I am excited to launch my next full day digital photography workshop!

DATE: July 20 2013 (its a saturday)

TIME: (full day workshop; exact times will be emailed to attendees closer to workshop date)

LOCATION: Classroom presentation and stylized shoots will take place in Corona ca

WHAT:

A full day of learning, instruction, at least TWO amazing STYLED shoots (first one to focus on family, shooting in full sun (weather permitting), and less optimal lighting) AND (one to focus on wedding/couple work and backlighting (weather permitting…it is always lushly romantic and just plain beautiful!!!), complete demonstration of photoshop/post-processing, workflow, and a discussion on business aspects of marketing/pricing/etc. (you may ask all you want about this in the q/a as well), and a candid and open Q/A session. Lunch and Dinner will be served as well as loads of snacks and goodies. All note taking materials are provided. Just come with your camera and any lenses you want to shoot with. Basically, I open my heart, and business to you with a sincere goal to have everyone walk away with new skills, friendships, and a greater love and appreciation for what they are doing as photographers!

WHO IS IT FOR:

The bulk of the day is completely demonstrative of what I am doing behind my camera and in front of my computer. I focus on inspiration and techniques to creating beautiful images. This workshop is completely suited for photographers as well as any individual who wants to learn how I am crafting images and who want to find out how I am enhancing my images in photoshop. The workshop is specifically designed for photographer who wants to improve their current skills and learn to shoot like a pro…it is gonna be so amazing…I can’t wait!!! I am offering a SPECIAL pre-workshop class at an additional fee for the beginner photographer to go over all the basics to shooting your camera in full manual mode. We will hold this the morning of the workshop to get you ready to jump in workshop day and be at a great level to absorb and be inspired! last month I attended the lovely Jen Huang workshop to hone on my film skills. I really enjoyed the day so much. Nestled in the hills of Santa Barbara we enjoyed good company, food, inspiration, and got to shoot some lovely subjects!

So excited to feature the beautiful engagement session I shot while there. So grateful for Jen Huang’s Styling, Makeup by 1011 Makeup, and the incredible floral design by Sarah Wineward…such a lovely collaboration.

Last week I got together with two beauties to celebrate something really incredible. Not only are these women beautiful BEST friends, but they are both expecting baby boys with in days of each other. SO much FUN! We shot in a gorgeous location with wonderful light and I am so happy with the sentiments and moments caught! I am SO excited for you both! Thank you so much for sharing this amazing blessing with me!

dolce…a love shoot

it has been a very busy season for both me personally and professionally. My little family continues to grow healthy and busy and I am so blessed to be mommy to all 5 of my beautiful kiddos. I keep my photography up and available, as it is such a true love in my life and rewards me on a personal level so much. I am very grateful for creative opportunities and love the time I get to take a break from the full time work of momma to enjoy my photographic work.

Way back in October, I held one of my Coterie stylized shoots. I adore these types of shoots and for all the wonderful artists I get to work with. I also love working with new people and setting them up as models for the day. I rarely ever work with professional models, but by the looks of the people I know you can’t really tell the difference! It was a pure treat to shoot Jill and Jedd and I was truly inspired by them for the styling of this shoot. This couple was freshly engaged and are so very much in love and I knew I wanted to get them in front of my camera. I found Jill through shooting her gorgeous sister a few years back. When honing a theme i knew it needed to be sexy, strong, bold, and romantic. Just like this couple. Inspired by a fresh fall issue of Vogue magazine I became immediately inspired to construct a dress and style a shoot around the dress I was making. I paired up yards of red dupioni silk, gold accents, and two freshly engaged and insanely in love love birds. Then added in gorgeous light and wonderful photographic medium along with a fun collaboration of some creative professionals and this shoot was born. I called it Dolce…it is to inspire sexy, romantic, classic brides to incorporate passion, beauty, and a little whimsy into their wedding day. I was so blessed to share the talents of Katrina of Kitsch and Nancy of Oak and the Owl and I loved the way the shoot turned out! Shannon and Fam…

A few days before Christmas, I ended the photography year off with this incredible little family! I met Shannon through an amazing gym I have been attended early mornings since about 5 weeks after baby brig was born. If you have not tried out Crossfit, it should be one thing on your bucket list! I love it so much and it is honestly the best workout routine I have ever participated it! If you want to push your self and have fun while doing it, I highlight recommend it! Anyways, she and her husband co-own the gym I go to at Crossfit Chino Hills and I was so excited when she asked me if I could shoot her family. Talk about a power couple! These two are successful in so many aspects of their lives and have been blessed beyond measure with an adorable little family! The entire shoot was just such a treat and I am happy to share some of my favorites here!
