this last week I joined up with some of my favorite people to shoot a combined family session….

I love this beautiful location…it is so peaceful and serene and it set such a beautiful canvas for doing these holiday photos…

miss kate and clare…these 2 are so sweet together…

nice little shot of the brothers and their kiddos…clare’s face here kills me…she is so cute!

clare was in heaven holding her sweet baby cousin…

this little guy was seriously adorable!!! he always had a smile ready!

the months are flying by…and turning into a whirlwind of days that are becoming years now…
can you believe that Kate is 3 now!!!
We combined a baby clare/big girl kate session this last month and i love the snapshots of these beautiful little girls we got!

8 months old here…

she has been pulling her self up and standing next to things…watch out mama!

baby nathan…

a few weeks ago, i was delighted to spend the afternoon with the adorable Tony and Desiree…such a great couple! So good to each other…so happy…and so lucky to be getting ready to welcome baby boy nathan into their home and arms in a few months!!!

desi is vibrant and so beautiful pregnant!

loved the feel of this afternoon…the light was so pretty…and even though it was a bit chilly…tony and desi felt right at home in front of the camera…

baby nathan is such a lucky little guy…

mom and dad love each other…

he is wanted…and loved so much already…

that alone is a head start in life…

i can’t wait until you meet him you two…you are gonna LOVE being parents!

enjoy these last few months just the two of you!

good things are coming!

girlfriends…

saturday a big huge rain cloud hung over my mentoring session I had been planning for weeks…a 90% chance of rain all day kinda a cloud. I had a very important person flying in to meet with me and we had just decided to cut the shoot portion out of the mentoring session…
we knew we would still have a lot to cover and it seemed that rain was going to steal the shoot from us…

of course…that morning came and blue skies were peeking through the grey rain filled clouds…as if the sky was being a little playful…telling me that I needed to put something together for my client and I to shoot together…

a rad thematic family shoot had been canceled…there was no bringing that back on a moments notice…but I knew my client, Heather, had an interest in learning more about shooting kids…

so I called up kristina, and asked her if I could borrow one of her little beauties for the morning…

she did even better than that and brought my Ella and her Allie to us so we could shoot a little while dodging raindrops!

these 2 little girls were too cute not to share…

adorable together in fact!

everytime I shoot these little girls…I realize once again…how fast time just moves along…

“baby” Kate is blossoming into just about one of the sweetest little people…and she grows right before our eyes…

sweet. smart. funny. energetic. perfectly perfect little girl…doing everything exactly as she should

we blinked…and she grew up…

and now…the added blessing of watching another little girl grow…

(it is funny how you can fit everything that could ever matter in the world into one little photograph)

Clare is 5 months old!

5 months!!!

Every month I go and visit her, I leave feeling so thankful for little ones in my life…watching her grow so fast…reminds me once again…to enjoy this sweet time of life

tammy and brett…merry christmas…your little family just grows more and more beautiful…i love being a part of it! Can’t wait to see all that is in store

when I saw greg and nissa step outta of their car, after I picked my jaw up off the floor, i smiled and knew the session was gonna be a slightly gorgeous one!

yesterday I enjoyed a traffic free drive down the 5 listening to christmas music on my way to meet some of my favorite people…

the holidays are in the air…and I love this time of year…

time to be thankful…for family, friends, and all the blessings we enjoy!

i was blessed to grow up in a good home…

i have parents who have always devoted themselves to teaching us to be good people in this world…

i have learned the value of family, companionship, and most all appreciation…

appreciation runs deep with me…there is no reward like that of being appreciated….It is priceless…

life can be a blur at times…schedules…to do lists…work…babies…etc…etc…

the real success in life is being able to appreciate and truly live in the life you have…despite all the things in it that keep you busy…

to appreciate those who care about you…who love you…

to cherish family…

Melissa and I have been trying to coordinate a session for months…

the busy in life got in the way for a bit…but the living of it caught up with us…and we put the things that sum up the beautiful lives of these people into frozen peices of time…

like how beautiful melissa is as a young vibrant mother…

one day when her children are grown I can just hear her grandbabies gasping when they find this image…

“grandma were you a movie star?” *wink*

i love your look melissa…you are a timeless beauty…

your family is beautiful…

in fact…if there is ever a shortage of love in this world…

i know exactly where to go to find some…

the men your little boys will one day grow to be will always know how stunning their mom was and is…

and your babes, melissa…

there is no way to describe the magic that is in a child other than to show them this smile…

joy in untainted perfection…

a few weeks ago I was so lucky to hang out with this incredible family…

they smile a lot…and i mean, a lot…

we should all be so happy…

despite the very real trials and challenges they are facing, together, as a family…

they are just about the happiest people I have been blessed to be around…

they have a true appreciation for each other…

they understand what a blessing time together is…

they love their children and grandchildren…

and raise good good people

we were walking to a new location and Melissa and her brother were walking together and being so cute…

i was so happy to catch these candid moments of them…I hope that when my kiddos grow up they will have great ties to each other…

i always consider it a great compliment when someone tells me I am doing a good job with my kiddos…that they are happy loving little people…

well…you two…

you have done good!

your family is beautiful!

they know how to love…

to laugh…and enjoy the things that matter most…

life is an adventure…

so thankful for all the things we face that we dont face alone because we have each other…

to look to…

to hold…

and love forever…

the secret is…the finish line is here…in the ones we love…the ones we should love…

no crazy race to win…nothing to fear…

only joy to be shared…

there is such beauty in this life…

see it…and appreciate it…and share it always
