Jacqueline had specifically requested to work on backlighting together…so we headed out to a nearby field in hopes the clouds would open to let a little light in…LOVED this part of the shoot!!!

it was the first project I got to take on after getting over all that horrible morning sickness!!!

Thought a sweet valentine styled shoot was a must with valentines day just around the corner…

a little fun fact about ashley’s skirt…it is actually 2 skirts I found on clearance for 10 bucks at forever 21…they were sooooo short…so I sewed them together to make this adorable tea length skirt! love me a good deal!

so…i am not exaggerating when i say kristina is one of my favorite people in the world..she is so talented, yet so unsuspecting…so generous with her talents…funny…sweet…. and truly just a plain good person.  she is a rare find and i simply adore her (am I making you blush yet kris?)

I am also not joking when I say that I have her programmed into my phone as “martha stewart”…if there is anything you need…kris can do it…she is pretty amazing!!! She even knows how to make chalkboard paint from scratch!!! (ha ha inside joke)

needless to say…I am thankful for my beautiful friend krsitina and her adorable family…

i love this series of her and her husband Chris…they are such a funny pair…

(of course she made these banners…like day of the  shoot of course!)

I want to share everything I have learned with my new friends that join me on workshop day…and while that is not physically or mentally possible in one day…i try my best to share the tools and tips I know will allow them to open up new doors and enable them to improve on their current skills!

I love starting out with a family shoot.  It introduces the group to my shooting style and I think there is much to be learned by observing and sharing a shoot with an experienced photographer…and it is awesome to get your hands on a gorgeous family and my attendees got just that!

Amy is a new friend of mine…she and her family just moved here a few months ago…but, truth be told, the moment i saw her, i knew she would be the model family for my next workshop…

I am so thankful for her family’s time and even more the new friendship that I enjoy in Amy…

the weather was a bit chilly, but we warmed up real fast as we  gathered up a very beautiful grandma and grandpa…

added in just about the most adorable grandkiddos…

all their children

and ended up with a beautiful shoot!

their little girl, brooklyn, is such a little personality…she is so fun to be around!

they are so blessed as a family…

there are just some people who know how to live…

they live in every moment…enjoy each day of the journey…and love with every part of their heart…

that is a lot to say about greg and nissa after only spending an hour or so with them..

it only took a moment with them to glean how happy, vibrant, and blessed these two are…

I love that Greg secretly contacted me to gift nissa a session with me while they were home for thanksgiving from Northern California…I was so excited to get them in front of my camera…

nissa is slightly beautiful!

and together a new path they have taken…

parenthood…

oh how babies bless our lives…

Emory is a pretty cool little guy…he loves football, his pup guiness, even though he wasn’t much into the idea of sitting still for pics *wink*, i pretty much fell in love with him instantly…

i am pretty sure he has stolen mom and dad’s heart as well…

(nissa was all done up by flawless faces in orange county…i still can get over how pretty she looked…)

and as beautiful as you are together…

there is so much more beauty in these

(i love the look on greg’s face in these…your little guy is pretty cool huh…nothing compares…)

we ended off the session in some pretty light with the entire family…
