Can you feed penguins at London Zoo?
Each one of our penguins has a different personality and our staff will be on hand to tell you who is who and answer any questions you may have about penguins. Please note that you will not feed the penguins. They have a special diet which is very smelly and we wouldn’t want you smelling bad for the rest of the day!

Can you feed penguins?
Register for 2022 Feedings For the safety of the penguins, you will not be permitted to take pictures during the feeding. Family members or friends will be able to take pictures for you from the guest areas located in front of the habitat. Because the penguin feedings are on a set schedule they must start on time.

There are several scheduled events throughout the day depending on what time of the year you visit the zoo. There are daily bird feedings at 11:15 a.m., a Tigers Live! Event and an otter feeding at 12 p.m., and Penguin Beach Live! Shows At three different selected times during the day.

You’ll be among our Humboldt and Macaroni penguins on the Penguin Coast beach, taking charge of the feed during our daily penguin talk. Priced at £75 including your park admission ticket (£60 without) and suitable for ages 8 and up. Your penguin feeding experience will last at least 20 minutes.

If you want to swim with them without traveling the world, there is only one place where you can actually swim with penguins in the US. Tanganyika Wildlife Park in Wichita, Kansas, is the only place where you can actually dive in a pool with penguins for 30 minutes and even touch them under the guidance of a trainer.

The Asiatic lion’s diet is made up of both large and small mammal prey such as deer, wild boar and antelope. The species has also been known to feed on domestic cattle.
