Do you glue worktop joints?
Worktop Adhesives There are proprietary adhesives made for joining work tops. These adhesives come in a range of colours which can be mixed and matched to suit the worktop colour you have. If you have a reasonably tight join it is possible to use other adhesive products to mitre the worktop.
Do you cut worktops upside down?
Unless you have a plunge saw with guide rail you will need to cut the worktop upside down when using a circular saw. Circular saw blades cut in an upwards direction so doing this this will prevent the blade tearing the face of the counter as it comes through the surface of the counter top.
How do you protect a worktop joint?
To ensure a permanent and watertight joint, a suitable sealer should be used on the worktops. We recommend either a standard clear silicone sealant or a colour matched Unika ColorFill joint sealant. This should be applied to both joint ends prior to connecting the worktops together.
Can you bolt 22mm worktops?

Do you glue solid wood worktops?
No need for glue as the tops are solid right through. Use biscuits or spiked joiners. Then keep well oiled. And then oil some more.
Do you need to oil both sides of worktop?
The worktop needs at least six coats of finishing oil on both sides prior to installation. Try and do this in a warm environment otherwise the oil will be slow to dry. Make sure the floor is covered as oil will drip from the underside, and wear old clothes once the oil is on clothing it will go hard and spoil them.
How long does it take for ColorFill to set?
For final clean up allow 24 hours to fully harden and clean the area with household washing up liquid and warm water.
Do you cut laminate worktop upside down?
Make sure both ends of your worktop are fully supported or, when cutting, it may snap rather divide cleanly. If you are using a circular saw, turn your worktop upside down, so the laminate surface is facing the floor and have the front edge of the worktop (the visible edge) facing you.
